At Dover Business College, we offer programs that let you focus on what you need to succeed in the business world. Our Business Administration - Computerized Accounting diploma program provides you with an intensive accounting and computerized applications focus with a background in business organization, business practices, and business communication. Successful completion of the program gives you the knowledge needed for such accounting functions as accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.

Discover the Dover Difference!
Dover Business College’s comprehensive Computerized Accounting program combines general business classes with an in-depth knowledge in Computerized Accounting applications widely used in today’s business world. This is a true Accounting program that combines accounting and business-related computerized accounting applications such as Excel and QuickBooks. You will spend more class time on accounting so you have the opportunity to apply what you have learned.  We emphasize:

  • Hands-on learning using QuickBooks and Excel, the industry standard software used in computerized accounting
  • Business and oral communication
  • Team building and group projects
  • Problem solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, the most widely used spreadsheet, database, graphics, and word processing software.

You also have access to Microsoft’s electronic resource called e-Knowledge base. This allows you to reinforce what you have learned in the classroom anytime, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

Upon completion, you are prepared to sit for the Microsoft® Office Specialist (MOS) certification examination in Excel. Employers look highly upon those who are certified because this demonstrates advanced skills. Dover Business College is an authorized Certiport Testing Center for MOS certification.

As a graduate you can either pursue an entry-level accounting position – such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, and Accounting Clerk – or continue your education. Graduates of the Computerized Accounting program at Dover Business College may transfer their credits for college-level credit at Berkeley College to pursue an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
