Surgical Technology Alumna Succeeds and Gives Back

When hospital representatives visited the Dover Business College campus in Clifton, Surgical Technologist (ST) student Nicole Willis was quick to introduce herself. She also jumped at the opportunity to demonstrate her ST skills to the visitors, and when positions became available at their hospitals, she eagerly applied. The honor student was offered three positions and chose to work as an Operating Room ST at East Orange Hospital, NJ. 

“Thanks to Dover’s relationship with these hospitals, I had the opportunity to introduce and prove myself to potential employers while still on campus,” said Ms. Willis, who served

Information Technology Student Continues to Learn

Lance Gordan, a top-ranking student who graduated from the PC Support and Network program at Dover Business College in 2007, values the support and guidance he received from his Information Technology instructors.

 

“My instructors had worked in the industry and used real-life situations when teaching class. I really benefited from their experience and was well prepared to go out and work in the industry,” Mr. Gordan said.

Dover Business College is a Microsoft IT Academy and one of only a few schools in northern New Jersey to offer the PC Support & Network Administration program. Students gain the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure, manage and support an enterprise network. They also learn to maintain network hardware and software and repair PCs. Students in the program are prepared to sit for certification exams that are considered the industry standard in terms of measuring a
